Play loads itch.io's embed player, which brings itch's own analytics; nothing loads before you press it. Saves stay in the browser and site you play on, so a run started here won't continue on itch.io. The game asks for one click before it plays sound; fullscreen is in the player's bottom bar.

The fall

He would
not eat.

A fly god fell out of a battle in the sky, and a kingdom grew on its husk: cathedrals in the ribs, a royal road along the spine. Then the kings learned to eat its flesh, and something inside the god fed back through every mouth. At his crowning, one king set his plate down untouched. Now the whole carcass hunts him.

Lead the Unfed King's tiny court across the carcass of a god. Protect your king and capture each Rot-Sworn commander's reliquary standard: when the standard falls, the surviving guards withdraw.
